Online Banking with first direct is simple, straightforward and secure, and lets you do all the things you need to do to manage your money online. Here are just some of the main features:

What do you need to get going?

If you're an existing first direct customer and want to register for Online Banking, you'll need to:

• first register for Phone Banking, if you haven't already, give us a call anytime on 03 456 100 100
• then you can register for Online Banking opens a new window
• after you have registered, you're all set and ready to log on to Online Banking opens a new window

Using Online Banking is straightforward - all you need is a PC, a Mac, a smartphone or tablet with internet access, and the right browser.

• PC browser: Microsoft® Internet Explorer (version 10 or higher), Mozilla Firefox (version 30 or higher) or Google Chrome (version 40 or higher)
• Mac browser: Safari (version 8 or higher), Mozilla Firefox (version 30 or higher) or Google Chrome (version 40 or higher)
• colour display with a minimum pixel resolution of 1024 x 768
• a modem (minimum speed 56kbp).

But security is your responsibility too, it's really easy to help protect yourself online - you just have to know what to do and the things to look out for. Even the small things such as making sure you never disclose your password (don't write it down or let anyone else see what you're typing in when you log on).
